PURPOSE:To reduce the sectional form of a cowl by forming an air intake at the end of a cowl panel to mutually connect cowl side panels on the right and left sides of a car body, and providing an air passage between the cowl side panel and a fender panel. CONSTITUTION:The upper end of a fender panel 1 positioned outside the left end of a car body is fixed to an apron reinforcement 3 extending in a longitudinal direction of the car body through the left end of a cowl outer panel 2. In this case, the right end of the cowl outer panel 2 is formed with an air intake port 2a opening upward, which communicates with a through hole 3a formed on the upper part of the apron reinforcement 3 through a duct 8. On the other hand, a space part 11 is formed in a shape enclosed by the apron reinforcement 3, a cowl side panel 10 and the fender panel 1, and provided with an air passage 12.
