Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an ink which is used for printing on a packaging material to realize the persistent freshness of and an improvement in the quality of foods packaged therewith, by incorporating a far infrared emitting ceramic powder into a printing ink for food packaging material. CONSTITUTION:An ink is prepared by incorporating a far infrared emitting ceramic powder into a printing ink for food packaging material. The powdery ceramic is one which comprises a high-purity transition metal oxide based on Al2O3, SiO2, MgO, ZrO2, TiO2, etc. and emits far infrared rays of a wavelength of 4-50mum. For example, this printing ink 3 is used for printing on a label 2, which is sticked to a container 1 wherein the contents have been enclosed. Since the ink 3 contains a far infrared emitting ceramic powder, far infrared rays are emitted from the ink 3 towards the contents, i.e., foods so that the quality of the packaged foods can be improved.
