Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an antistatic plasticizer which possesses both of plasticizing and antistatic properties, has various properties required of a plasticizer, such as heat resistance, compatibility with resin and transparency, and is suitable for a chlorinated vinyl resin, having a specified structural formula. CONSTITUTION:This antistatic plasticizer is one for a chlorinated vinyl resin, comprising an ester of formula I (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each a 2-4C alkylene group, n is an integer of 1-15, and R4, R5 and R6 are each a 1-13C alkyl group). This plasticizer can be easily obtained by a general ester production process comprising reacting trimellitic acid or its anhydride with a polyoxyalkylene monoalkyl ether or an alkoxyalkyl alcohol.
