Abstract
PURPOSE: To completely separate metallic pieces and rice grains by providing the lower part of a foreign matter receiving trough of a removing section with a shutter, connecting the bottom end thereof to a supply section of a grain lifting machine and further branching the foreign matter receiving trough as discharging troughs and providing the branching parts thereof with a selector valve. CONSTITUTION: This metal separating machine consists of a detecting section 19 having a coil for generating high-frequency magnetic fields, a control section connected to this detecting section 19, the supply section 18 for introducing raw material cereals to the detecting section 19, a refined grain receiving trough 34, the foreign matter receiving trough 35 and the removing section 20 having foreign matter removing devices 32, 33 connected to this control section. The supply section 18 is connected to the discharge port 14 of the grain lifting machine 1. The lower part of the foreign matter receiving trough 35 is provided with the shutter 29 and the bottom end thereof is connected to the supply section 41 of the grain lifting machine 1. Further, the foreign matter receiving trough 35 is branched as the discharge troughs 42. Namely, the rice grains mingled with the metals dammed up by the shutter 39 are supplied and transported by a small amt. each to the grain lifting machine at the end of a normal operation. These rice grains are again fed into the metal separator, by which the metallic pieces and the rice grains are completely separated. The metallic pieces are removed from the discharge machine.
