Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a skin-beautifying cosmetic having good storage stability and excellent beautifying effect, by using a specific L-ascorbic acid polyoxyethylene derivative and active component. CONSTITUTION:The objective skin-beautifying cosmetic having high storage stability, an action to inhibit tyrosinase and an action to bleach produced melanin is produced by compounding (A) an L-ascorbic acid polyoxyethylene derivative of formula I (R1 is group of formula II; R2 is group of formula III; X+Y is 1-40, preferably 3-30) in an amount of 0.1-10.0wt.% preferably 1.0-5.0wt.% based on the whole cosmetic, as an essential component and preferably further (B) one or more skin-activating components selected from diisopropylamine dichloroacetate,gamma-aminobutyric acid, vitamin E acetate, vitamin E nicotinate and vitamin E orotate. The addition of the skin-activating component promotes the metabolism of cuticle and further improves the beautifying effect of the cosmetic.
