Abstract

PURPOSE: To respectively adequately detect a prescribed large flow rate and prescribed small flow rate by providing a small flapper which is supported oscillatably to close a small port formed through a large flapper to the outflow side face of the large flapper.
CONSTITUTION: This detector is provided with the small flapper 13 which is supported oscillatably to close the small port 12 formed through the large flapper 13. The flapper 13 is pushed through the small port 12 and is oscillated by as much as the angle corresponding to the flow rate when the small flow rate enters the inside of the casing 10. Then, a magnet 14 stuck to the bottom end of the flapper 13 is detached from a reed switch 15 provided in the lower part of the casing 10 and a switch 15 operates to open. The flow of the prescribed small flow rate is detectable from the open operation of the switch 15 if the oscillation angle of the flapper 13 and the flow rate at the time when the switch 15 operates to open are predetermined. The flapper 11 oscillates and the read switch operates to open via a cam 16, a shaft 18 and a magnet 19 when the large flow rate flows. The prescribed large flow rate is thus detected.
