Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a seat temperature maintainable in comfortableness by changing the setting temperature of a heating element to the room temperature through the presence of cover attachment in an electric heating carpet or the like, while performing a proper temperature correction according to a difference in adiabatic capacity of the cover. CONSTITUTION:A room temperature detecting device 8 detects temperature in a room where a surface heating element 1 is set up, and it outputs the detected temperature to a selector device 11. This device 11 is connected to a temperature setting device 9-1 when it does not use a cover 6, and when using this cover 6, it is connected to any of the specified devices 9-2-4 according to cover types, outputting it to a temperature judging device 12. On the other hand, with operation of a selector device 25, such a temperature correction that makes a negative factor is each setting temperature-room temperature characteristic of these device 9-2-4 invariable and increasing or decreasing somewhat the constant only via a setting temperature compensating device 19 is made performable.
