Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize phosphor to be left as waste by injecting a phosphor suspended liquid into a glass bulb from the end of one of the glass bulb parts, facing the end of the other glass bulb part to down, and thereby exhausting the phosphor suspended liquid. CONSTITUTION:A U-shaped glass bulb 8 is held vertically with the ends facing up. A phosphor suspended liquid is injected to a certain specified level from the end of the shorter glass bulb part 10. The whole glass bulb 8 is tipped to the glass bulb part 10 side so as to exhaust the phosphor suspended liquid from the end 11. Here the whole inner surface of the longer glass bulb part is free from coating of expensive phosphor.
