Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a deinking agent strongly scavenging ink and removing it and giving high quality recycled pulp from printed wastepaper in high efficiency by including specific polyether compounds as a principal component. CONSTITUTION: This deinking agent comprises polyether compound having 1,000 to 83,000 of molecular weight obtained by adding 1 to 100 mole of alkylene oxide after adding 1 to 100 moles of ethylene oxide per active hydrogen of an aliphatic aldehyde condensation product with the compound having aromatic ring and 1 to 2 active hydrogen, polyethers compound having 1,000 to 83,000 of molecular weight obtained by adding aliphatic aldehyde to the addition product of 1 to 100 mole of ethylene oxide per active hydrogen of the compound having aromatic ring and 1 to 2 active hydrogen and adding 1 to 100 mole of alkylene oxide, as the principal component, and nonionic active component, anionic active component or the like.
