Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by the formula. USE:A circulatory organ disease treating agent, hair tonic and cosmetic. The above-mentioned compound has wide action, e.g. circulation improving effect such as vasodilation or vasodepressor activity, action for keeping and improving the skin from chapping as well as trichogenous promoting and alopecia preventing effects. PREPARATION:3-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)2-methyl-L-alanine is reacted with hydrate (alpha-methyldopa) and benzoyl chloride to provide the compound expressed by the formula. The compound expressed by the formula is single or mixed with a common medicine additive and formulated according to ordinary method to provide the remedy for circulatory organ disease. The remedy can be orally or parenterally administered and the dose is 0.5-500mg/1kg wt. daily in oral administration.
