設すると共に、その下方に、前記モータ２の駆動
軸３に従動される圧縮要素４を配設し、前記駆動
軸３の軸受部５ａを備える架構５と、前記モータ
２を覆うモータカバー６とでモータ室７を区画形
成し、該モータ室７の上方側に前記ケーシング１
内に開放される吸入流体の取入口８を、又、下方
側にその取入れた吸入流体を前記圧縮要素４へ導
く導入口９をそれぞれ設けて、前記モータ２の上
方から下方に向かう吸入通路１２を形成した密閉
形圧縮機において、前記導入口９を、前記モータ
２におけるステータ２１のコイルエンド２１ａに
対抗状に開口させると共に、その開口縁９ａを前
記コイルエンド２１ａに近接配置したことを特徴
