Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the flow of an exhaust gas from being disturbed thereby to reduce a noise by fixing one end of a rain repulsing plate to the lower part of an exhaust port to incline the same upward within an exhaust chamber, and extending another end of the plate up to the rear half part of the exhaust chamber thereby to form an exhaust gas passage throttled partially. CONSTITUTION:A rain repulsing plate 3 is a flat plate having a width dimension which is substantially the same as the horizontal inner width dimension of an exhaust chamber 1, and an intermediate part 3b of the plate 3 is inclined upward toward the rearward of the exhaust chamber 1. At the same time, the rear end 3c of the plate 3 is extended up to the rear half of the exhaust chamber to form an exhaust gas flow path 1' between the rear end part 3c and the inner surface of the exhaust chamber 1. An exhaust gas rising from a combustion cylinder B and flowing into the exhaust chamber 1 is guided and throttled first by an intermediate inclined part 3b of the rain repulsing plate and the inclined surface 4b at the lower part of a smoothing plate. Thereafter, the exhaust surface of the rear end 3c of the plate and gently inclined surface 4d, and converts its advancing direction to the forward while rising up along a lower side inclined surface 4c, a perpendicular surface part 4a and an upper side inclined surface 4b of the smoothing plate.
