Abstract
PURPOSE:To surely transport a sheet material through the superior attraction holding by installing a wind quantity adjusting member which is equipped with an air attracting duct for attraction-holding the sheet material on a transport means and adjusts the wind quantity attracted from an air attracting opened port according to the transport situation and size of the sheet material. CONSTITUTION:A selecting damper 24 is kept at the position shown by the full line until a strong attractive force is required at the opened port 20b on the fixing device side of a transport device, and separation and transport of a sheet material from a photosensitive drum are assisted. Then, the sheet material is transported to the intrusion stage to the fixing device, and when a strong attracting force is required at the opened port 20b on the fixing device side of the transport device, the selecting damper 24 is switched to the position shown by the chained line, and the attractive force at the opened port 20b on the fixing device side is increased. Therefore, an attracting fan 22 can be efficiently used, and the device body can be reduced by reducing the dimension of the attracting fan 22. Further, separation and transport of the sheet material can be surely carried out, and generation of paper clogging and creases can be prevented.
