Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce drive load of a rotary valve for transferring powder by forming a liquid film in the clearance between a casing and a rotor. CONSTITUTION:A liquid is supplied through a liquid supply port 14 bored in the bulging part 13 of a valve housing 1 and via a liquid supply pipe 15 and a liquid metering valve 16 into a clearance 9. The liquid is also supplied to a cover 2 similarly through a liquid supply port 17 and a liquid metering valve 19. This causes a liquid film to be formed in the clearance 9 so that tiny particles in a material are melted and cleaned or washed off. A drive load is reduced with this simple constitution.
