Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve polishing efficiency by forming the inside diameter of a bran discharging and polishing cylinder and the outside diameter of a polishing roll lager than the inside diameter of a grain feeding cylinder and providing the terminal part of the grain feeding cylinder with a grinding surface. CONSTITUTION: The polishing roll 2 and spirals 7 for grain feeding are turned around a central line c and grains 13 are supplied from a supply port 8 into the grain feeding cylinder 3. The grains 13 are moved in the grain feeding cylinder 3 by the spirals 7 toward a terminal and fill a space S. Further, the grains advance into the spacing t between the bran discharging and polishing cylinder 1 and the polishing roll 2 and move toward the terminal. The grains 13 are filled in the space S where the grains are pressed in this state to the beginning end face 5 of the roll 2 by the propulsion force of the spirals 7. The grains are run backward by receiving reaction and are pressed to the grinding surface 4. The grains 13 are turned along the grindings surface 4 by the rotation of the polishing roll 2 and the rotation of the spirals 7, by which the epidermis of the grains 13 are ground.
