Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain required characteristics for a polyurethane type nonexpandable binder for hollow yarn to be used in artificial kidney, etc., prepd, by binding dialytic hollow yarn which is wet with water, by specifying a polyisocyanate component for the primary material of the polyurethane and a hardening agent. CONSTITUTION:Aliphatic polyisocyanate or polyisocyanate contg. aliphatic polyisocyanate having a specified range of compsn. is used as a primary material of the polyurethane. Said aliphatic polyisocyanate is an oligomer having biuret linkage, isocyanurate linkage, or urethane linkage being derived from hexamethylene diisocyanate and/or 4,4'-methylenebis(cyclohexyl isocyanate) having >=2wt.% and <=20wt.% NCO group. On one hand, the specified hardening agent to be used in combination with said primary material is an aromatic polyamine which is liquid at room temp. (20 deg.C), pref. one expressed by the structural formula I.
