Abstract
PURPOSE: To smoothly control the flow of a liquid regardless of the viscosity by introducing the liquid from an inlet port and a first rotary port of a metering mechanism, discharging the liquid from an outlet port and a second rotary port of the metering mechanism, and closing the second rotary port with a rotary valve furnished with a check valve. CONSTITUTION: In filling a high-viscosity liquid, a inlet piston 23 is in its upper set position; a piston 32 of a metering cylinder 30 moves down; the liquid flows into the metering cylinder 30 from a tank 5; thereafter, a rotary valve 7 closes the port 36 by 113-degree rotation; ports 34', 40 connected to a nozzle 38 open; and the piston 32 moves upward to flow the liquid into a container. After the piston 32 rises to its up position, the rotary valve 7 reversely rotates at 113 degrees to exhaust air from a vacuum chamber 8' and set a negative pressure in the port 36. In filling low-viscosity liquid, a port 34 opens; the piston 32 moves down to fill the metering cylinder 30 with the liquid, and the piston 32 is in its upper set position to release the air. With the start of filling, the piston 23 moves down and strike against O-ring 37 to seal. With the upward movement of the piston 32, a check valve 24 closes, 12 opens, the liquid is discharged from the nozzle 38.
