Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an elastoplasticity damper which has high energy-absorbing capacity by providing a base plate, in a unified form, on the periphery of the bottom of a damper unit composed of plate materials, and by making the plate thickness and width of the damper unit so as to be larger on the side of the base plate. CONSTITUTION: A base plate 13 is provided, in a unified form, on the periphery of the bottom of a damper unit 12 composed of plate materials, and both of the plate thickness and width are made so as to be larger on the side of the base plate 13. The base plate 13 is also provided on the periphery of the top of the damper unit 12, and a plurality of bolt inserting holes are bored on each base plate 13. As a result it is possible to obtain the elastoplasticity damper A which has a high bearing force against bending at the largest moment area and high energy-absorbing capacity.
