Abstract

PURPOSE:To shield the electromagnetic waves generated from a flexible wiring board for driving a liquid crystal and to maintain the display quality of a liquid crystal display device by mounting electromagnetic shields onto the flexible wiring board and placing films or sheets having a high reflectivity thereon. CONSTITUTION:A sealing resin 4 is disposed around transparent substrates 1a, 1b to form a specified gap and the liquid crystal 2 is injected therein. The electromagnetic shields 10 and reflecting plates 9 consisting of Cu foil or Al foil and insulating films are provided on the flexible wiring board 6 for driving the liquid crystal 2. The electromagnetic shields 10 on the flexible wiring board 6 are stuck partly or fully thereto and the electromagnetic shields 10 and the reflecting plates 9 are also fully or partly stuck to each other. The electromagnetic waves generated from the wiring board for driving the liquid crystal are thereby eventually removed and the dealing with a video system consisting of the many liquid crystal display devices is possible as well. Such system is utilizable as a measure for controlling FCC.
