Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the workability of insertion and removal and to enable the low-loss and stable connection of optical connectors to be mounted on a printed circuit board by providing locking structures which allow mechanical locking and unlocking by the insertion and removal of the printed circuit board mounted with the optical connectors without using friction to each optical connector to be fitted. CONSTITUTION:Projections 7 and projections 10 fit to each other on the perpendicular plane in a fitted state and the fitting between both is not released even if the force in the direction of removing the connectors act between a housing 2b and an arm 9. Only the housing 2a is first retreated together with the printed circuit board 1 and the projections 11 push up the projections 8 when the print circuit board 1 is successively removed. The projections 7 integrated with the projections 8 are, therefore, simultaneously force-expanded as well and the projections 7 are disengaged from 10 and the housing 2b and the arm 9 are unlocked.
