Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve ignitability by forming a combustion room into a cone shape so as to surround the atomization scope of the fuel atomized in a cone shape from an injector and also forming the guide groove extending from the opening section of the combustion room in a squish area. CONSTITUTION:A single unit injector 5 is attached to a cylinder head 1 in such a way that fuel can be injected in a cone shape and also in a diagonal direction from the nozzle on the end thereof. And the cylinder head 1 is formed with a combustion room 9 of a cone shape larger than liquid atomization 8 of a cone shape so that an air layer 10 surrounding the liquid atomization 8 may exist between the wall face of the combustion room 9 and the liquid atomization 8. The depth of the cone shaped combustion room 9 shall be set larger than liquid fuel spray travel. And the upper face of a piston 11 is formed with a piston recess 12 composed of a main recess section 12a corresponding to the opening section 9a of the combustion room 9 and the guide groove 12b adjacent to the main recess section 12a and extending to a squish area in the right direction.
