Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent bank notes from jamming due to stagnation thereof by providing bank note feed-in rollers having resilient projections on shafts at the front and rear ends of a conveying path on the inlet side of a bank note storage box so that bank notes are fed inside the storage box. CONSTITUTION:In the vicinity of the bank note entrance port 1a of a bank note storage box 1, there are provided a pair of conveying belts 7, 8 for conveying bank notes. Bank notes feed-out rollers 12 having resilient projections are arranged on shafts for the conveying belts 7, 8, two in each shaft, at positions adjacent to conveying belt pulleys 11. The bank note feed-out rollers 12 are overlapped with the storage box 1, but can be operated without hindrance to the opening and closing operation of a shutter 5. A bank note is fed to a position in the vicinity of the inlet of the storage box 1 by the conveying belts 7, 8, but the traveling end thereof remains at the inlet. This bank note is then fed to the interior of the storage box by the feed-in rollers 12. Accordingly, the bank notes are prevented from bumping against each other due to stagnation in the entrance port 1a, thereby it is possible to prevent the same from jamming.
