Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a special device or program and adjust printing alignment speedily and accurately, by a method wherein stored printing data is reciprocally printed while sequentially adjusting a printing-starting position according to each adjusting data in an adjusting data table. CONSTITUTION:A data storing means 7 stores printing data for adjustment of printing alignment into a printing buffer 6 according to an input from an instruction switch 5. An adjusting data collecting means 8 so functions that the stored printing data is reciprocally printed while sequentially adjusting a printing-starting position according to each adjusting data in an adjusting data table 2. With an input from the instruction switch 5, the printing data for adjustment of printing alignment is stored into the printing buffer 6, and the printing data is automatically printed reciprocally while sequentially adjusting the printing-starting position in one direction according to each adjusting data in the adjusting data table 2. Based on the result of the reciprocal printing, optimal adjusting data is designated by adjusting data designating switches 3, whereby the printing-starting position is adjusted according to the designated adjusting data, and the printing data in the printing buffer 6 is reciprocally printed.
