Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect application defects in a sealing rubber of a lid for a special form can be scanning by a laser beam all around a seaming panel, by projecting specularly reflected light of that laser beam on a screen and by detecting that light on the screen sequentially with multiple detectors. CONSTITUTION:In detecting application defects in a sealing rubber 12 applied on a seaming panel 11 of a lid 10 for a special form can such as a square can, the seaming panel 11 is scanned all around with a laser beam from a scanner 1. A specularly reflected light of that laser beam is projected on a screen 2, which is placed above the lid and surrounds its outer periphery. The light reflected all around the seaming panel 11 of the special form can is perceived by detecting the light on the screen 2 sequentially with multiple detectors 3, each of which is mounted with a fisheye lens 4 and a photosensor 6. Application defects such as skips of a sealing rubber on a seaming panel of a lid for a special form can are easily and certainly detected by using this device.
