Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a valve with a simple structure, having no sliding part and which can securely switch over a flow passage by supporting both ends of a valve stem with diaphragms and keeping the valve stem in a noncontact condition with a valve bore. CONSTITUTION:A valve bore 14 is provided in a center housing 12. And, diaphragms 15, 16 whose pressure receiving areas are not changed even if they are displaced are spread between the center housing 12 and both right and left side housings 13, 13 respectively. A normal-use port 22 is connected to right and left pressure chambers 17, 18 through a flow passage 23. Also, alternative ports 25, 26 are connected and opened to the valve bore 14. Valve parts 35, 36 are formed on the diaphragms 15, 16 being opposite to each valve seat 14b, 14c on both ends of the valve bore 14 and the valve parts 35, 36 are linked to each other with a valve stem 40. In this structure, the valve stem 40 is moved right and left by means of a plunger 52 to switch over the normal-use port 22 to either of the alternative ports 25, 26.
