Abstract
PURPOSE:To adopt a three spots system and to present the light pick-up device of a simple constitution by separating a returning beam through a normal beam/ abnormal beam separating prism, after that, causing only a zero-th light to pass through a space filter and guiding it to a binary dividing photodetector. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam from a laser light source 1 is separated to zero-th and + or -1st lights by a diffraction grating 20 and radiated to an optical magnetic disk 7. The returning beam from the optical magnetic disk 7 is separated from a going-light path and separated to an abnormal beam and a normal beam, in which mutual optical axes are finely dislocated by a fine angle, by an Wallaston prism 24. The + or -1st light of the normal beam and abnormal beam after the separation is cut by a space filter 25 and only the zero-th light is passed through. This light is received by a bi-sectored photodetector 26 and information are reproduced according to the difference of the receiving quantity of the bi-sectored photodetector.
