Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title polymer which can combine with the amino groups of a physiologically active substance, by catalytically polymerizing or radiation- polymerizing a mixture of a polymerizable monomer having an active functional group with diethylene glycol di(meth)acrylate etc., in a specified organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:0.5-50wt.% polymerizable monomer mixture comprising a polymerizable monomer (A) having an active functional group such as a succinimide, p-nitrophenol or benzotriazole group and at least 10wt.% crosslinking polymerizable monomer (B) comprising diethylene glycol di(meth) acrylate and other tetraethylene glycol di(meth)acrylates is subjected to catalytic polymerization at 50-5 deg.C in a catalyst concentration of 0.1-30wt.% or to radiation polymerization at 50--80 deg.C in an organic solvent (C) which can dissolve said monomer mixture and precipitate the formed polymer, such as methyl orthoformate, to obtain the title polymer having a mean particle diameter of 0.1-40mu (as determined on a microparticulate polymer precipitated in a saturated hydrated state at 37 deg.C).
