Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect a cut end part, to reduce a pain, to remove the negative pressure of a cut terminal and to prevent edema, by filling a flexible hermetically sealed bag made of a synthetic resin having a shape along the inner bottom part of an artificial leg socket part with foamed or gel like silicone rubber. CONSTITUTION:The cushion material placed on the inner bottom part of an artificial leg socket part in a freely detachable manner is formed into a dish shape and formed by filling a hermetically sealed bag 2 made of plastic with gel like silicone rubber 3. The cushion material 1 is formed so that the surface on the front side thereof almost conforms to the shape of a cut end surface and the surface on the back surface side almost conforms to the shape of the inner bottom surface of the artificial leg socket part 6. Therefore, the whole shape is affected by the shape of the cut end surface but can correspond to almost all of artificial legs if cushion materials having some kinds of shapes and sizes are prepared. When a certain period is elapsed after an artificial leg 4 is mounted, contraction or deformation is often generated in the vicinity of the cut end part but, in this case, when the cushion material 1 is replaced with one having a proper shape and size, it is unnecessary to again prepare the artificial leg 4 itself.
