Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a forceps plug for an endoscope holding sufficient yield strength and keeping airtightness, by constituting the same of a soft body having a piercing hole permitting the insertion of a treatment jig to be used and a hard body covering the outer periphery of said soft body and having not only a slit provided to the upper surface thereof but also the mount part to a treatment insert port provided to the bottom part thereof. CONSTITUTION:A forceps plug 1 is constituted of a soft body 3 having a piercing hole 2 having a diameter almost same to that of a treatment jig to be used and a hard body 4 covering the outer periphery of the soft body 3. A recessed part 4a is formed to the upper surface wall of the hard body 4 and a slit 5 is provided to said recessed part 4a while the mount part 9 fixed to the forceps plug mount cap 8 fixed to the treatment jig insert port 7 of an endoscope operating main body 6 is formed to the bottom part of the hard body 4 and the forceps plug 1 is mounted so as to close the insert port 7 in usual by the mount part 9. When the treatment jig 10 inserted through the forceps plug 1 and the insert port 7 is obliquely pulled off, the upper surface of the hard body 4 is tilted to the position almost right-angled to the pull-off direction of the treatment jig 10 by the large compression of the soft body 3 and no force such as tearing the slit is applied and, therefore, the slit 5 increases in durability and the treatment jig insert port 7 is closed in an airtight state.
