Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a video reading and print recording function in common with one and same constitution by providing a means forming an optical spot image to one focus of a SELFOC lens array and an optical sensor arranged opposedly to a focal line. CONSTITUTION:Lots of LED elements 16 are integrated on an LED chip 15 and lighted sequentially by driving sequentially individual electrodes 13. Lots of the LED array chips are mounted on a line on the LED printer head 10. An optical sensor 30 is formed corresponding to the elements 16 on the LED array chip as a block. When the elements 16 on one focal line B-B' of the SELFOC lens array 20 are lighted sequentially, the image is formed as a spot on one focal line A-A' to form an electrophotographic latent image on a photosensitive drum 50. In case of applying light spot radiation onto the face of the original 40 by the same operation as above, part of the reflected light is detected sequentially by the sensor 30. Thus, the head in common use of recording/reading is obtained.
