Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the shelf stability of a recording material and to make an image clear by using a specified base precursor. CONSTITUTION:This recording material has a recording layer contg. a diazo compd., a coupling component and a base precursor (A). The precursor A is a salt of carboxylic acid and an org. base (B) and a di-, tri- or tetraacidic base obtd. by combining 2-4 partial structures each corresponding to an atomic group formed by removing 1-2 H atoms. from amidine represented by formula I is used as the base B. In formula I, each of R<1>-R<4> is H, alkyl, etc. The pref. m.p. of the precursor A is 50-200 deg.C and the precursor A is preferably contained by 0.1-20pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. diazo compd. A compd. represented by formula II may be used as the precursor A.
