Abstract
PURPOSE:To rapidly and accurately measure eccentricity, by automatically performing the measurement of strain, the processing of eccentricity and the display of an eccentric direction by a computer. CONSTITUTION:A strain measuring apparatus 1 is operated by the order of a personal computer 2 to measure strain quantities epsilona-epsilond of four points and these measured values are transmitted to the computer 2. Subsequently, X-axis eccentricity A, Y-axis eccentricity B and loaded axis eccentricity C are processed and the degrees of eccentricity at four points are processed to store processed data in an external memory apparatus 4. Further, the strain quantities epsilona-epsilond and the eccentricities A-C are formed into a table to be displayed on a CRT 3 and the degrees Xa, Xc, Yb, Yd of eccentricity are plotted to display an eccentric direction and the eccentricity control work of a test piece TP is performed while the eccentricities and eccentric direction of the picture of the CRT 3 are visually viewed. This operation is repeatedly performed to mount the test piece TP to a pair of grasping jigs so as to obtain a tolerant eccentric range. By this method, eccentricity can be measured rapidly and accurately.
