Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a following vehicle to immediately perceive the abrupt brake using condition of a preceding vehicle and apply an emergency brake by operating an indicating means when the detected signal of a peculiar phenomenon to an operating mechanism which is generated at the time of using the abrupt braking becomes above a defined value. CONSTITUTION:A detecting device 10 detects the oil pressure and duration of a brake system, which are compared with a set oil pressure and duration of an ordinary braking time by a comparator 11, and the results are outputted as the signals of the oil pressure and duration. In a detecting device 12, an electromagnetic field is formed with a magnetic coil 13 surrounding a push rod 4 and the induced electromotive voltage of the coil 13 is detected by the moving speed of the rod 4 and compared with the set induced electromotive voltage at the ordinary braking time by a comparator 14, and the result is outputted as a pedal stepping speed signal. Further, in a device 15, pressure sensors 17A, 17B are provided on the upper and lower part of an orifice 16 on the inlet part of a reservoir tank 5, the pressure difference across the orifice 16 is obtained from the detected values of both sensors 17A, 17B, and compared with the set pressure difference at the ordinary braking time by a comparator 18, and the result is outputted as the pedal stepping speed signal. And, the total outputs are inputted into a relay 19 to operate an emergency brake indicating device 20.
