Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit crosslinking while continuous bubbles are maintained during forming or after forming the continuous bubbles, by a method wherein the particles of expandable compound, consisting of olefin resin blended with foaming agent and organic peroxide crosslinking agent, are accumulated on a base material to expand them by heating and form a foamed layer on the base material. CONSTITUTION:The particles of expandable compound, consisting of olefin resin A blended with foaming agent B and organic peroxide crosslinking agent C, are accumulated on a base material and are foamed by heating to form a foamed layer on the base material. The olefin resin A is provided with the melting point thereof, whereat it is capable of being molten at the decomposition temperatures of the foaming agent 8 and the organic peroxide crosslinking agent C while the foaming agent 8 forms continuous bubbles in the olefin resin A at a temperature whereat the olefin resin A is molten and the amount of the foaming agent B, which is sufficient enough to maintain the continuous bubbles for a predetermined period of time, is contained in the olefin resin A. The organic peroxide crosslinking agent C permits crosslinking reaction only for a period during or after forming the continuous bubble of the olefin resin A. A foamed laminated structural body, having the continuous bubbles, may be formed by a single process and the layer of the foamed body, obtained by this process, is provided with very fine and uniform foamed structure whereby the laminated structural body may be provided with prominent compression characteristic, water absorbing property, weather-resistant property and soft-touch.
