Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent extended power interruption and to improve the reliability, by selectively interrupting such transformer bank as having a fault point at the secondary in network transformers. CONSTITUTION:Ground potential transformers 110A-110D are connected respectively with secondary feeders 22A, 22B, 22C of network transformers 21A, 21B, 21C and a common bus 25, where the neutral point of star-connected primary winding of the transformers is grounded and a resistive load is connected to the secondary winding connected in open-delta. Upon occurrence of ground fault at point F1, a circuit breaker 106A and a load-break switch 112A are interrupted. Upon occurrence of ground fault at point F3, circuit breakers 106A, 106B, 106C are interrupted to block ground fault current from flowing to the ground fault point F3. In case of ground fault at point F4, circuit breaker 109 is interrupted.
