Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of troubles in recording and reproducing even if distortion or bend is generated on an optical recording chip by sucking the reverse face of the light incident side of the optical recording chip in vacuum to hold the chip. CONSTITUTION:In case of fixing the optical recording chip 1 on a table 2 by an optical recording chip abutting claw 6 and an optical recording chip fixing claw 7, a vacuum pump 9 is simultaneously started and air in a hole 13 and a pipe 14 is exhausted as shown by the arrow 17. Since differential pressure between atmospheric pressure and the pressure of air in the hole 13 is uniformly to the whole surface of the chip 1, the chip 1 is fixed on the table 2 in a plane state along the table 2 even if the chip 1 is largely bent. Consequently, the chip 1 can be held in the plane state at the time of recording/reproducing and data can be effectively recorded/reproduced in/from the optical recording chip largely bent due to its long use.
