The number of shafts supported at three points, such as those used in automobile transmissions, has recently increased, but if a bearing is to be installed in the center of the shaft, at least the cage must be split into two parts. These divided retainers are
Conventionally, various methods have been used for joining after assembly. For example, the conventional cage shown in FIG. 1 has a protrusion 2a at the end of one joint 1a, and
A recess 2b into which the protrusion 2a fits is provided at the end of the recess 2a, a recess 3a on both walls of the protrusion 2a, and a protrusion 3 on both walls of the recess.
b, the protrusion 2a is inserted into the recess 2b, and the protrusion 3b is fitted into the recess 3a to join them. It is formed by a surface. For this reason, the mating surfaces of the recesses 3a and the protrusions 3b at the joints are likely to come off due to looseness in the radial direction, and often cause problems in assembly. Moreover, the base of the joint is weak and there is also a problem in strength. In addition, as shown in Fig. 2, nylon strings 5 are attached to the sides of the half-moon diameter cages 4a and 4b to create a cage split into two, or as shown in Fig. 3, one half of a single cage 6 is used. There is also a type in which a notch 7 is provided, and a split 8 is placed at a position 180° symmetrical to the notch 7, and the cage is temporarily opened around the notch 7 to perform the function of a two-split cage. However, once the cage was opened, it could not be easily returned to its original position, which caused problems in bearing assembly.

Furthermore, a hollow part and a concave part to be joined to the hollow part are formed at an asymmetric position of the opposing joint surfaces, and a small protrusion is provided on the inner surface of the protrusion for joining.
-104849), but it is necessary to twist and insert the retainer member during assembly, and a torsional force acts over the entire width. For this reason, if a deviation occurs in the radial direction or if there is variation in expansion or contraction of the member, there is a risk that the joint will be twisted and a step will be formed on the outer diameter surface and the inner diameter surface, impeding the smooth rotation of the rolling elements. Furthermore, the occurrence of backlash in the circumferential direction was unavoidable. Furthermore, a recess with a wall surface parallel to the radial direction is provided in one of the joint parts of the retainer, and a hook-like protrusion is provided in the other, and the elasticity of the hook-like protrusion is used to engage the recess. There is also a method (Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 57-86619), but it cannot absorb the displacement of the cage joint in the radial direction.

This invention eliminates the disadvantages of the conventional two-piece cage, makes it easy to join two cages together in a short time, and ensures that there is no play in the radial direction of the joined cage. , which aims to provide a two-split cage that does not cause problems when assembling a bearing in a subsequent process, and is a two-split cage made of synthetic resin that is divided into two parts along a plane including the axis. A neck portion is provided with a central protrusion sandwiched between a pair of tapered surfaces that widen radially outward at the joint of the members, and a tapered surface that gradually becomes narrower inwardly in the circumferential direction from the central protrusion. A recess is formed at the joining part of the other member by a pair of lateral protrusions having a tapered surface at the same angle as the tapered surface of the central protrusion, and further a lateral protrusion when viewed from the circumferential direction. An engaging portion is formed by a slope extending obliquely outward toward the wall surface of the recess, and the central protrusion is inserted into the recess by elastic deformation of the pair of lateral protrusions, thereby forming a tapered surface of the neck of the central protrusion. This invention relates to a two-split cage that engages with the slope of the engaging portion.

An embodiment of this invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. As shown in Fig. 4, this invention is a two-part cage divided at 180° symmetrical positions along a plane P including the axis O. Opposing ends of the members 11a and 11b constituting the split cage form mutually adjacent joints 12a and 12b. One joint 12a is provided with a central protrusion 13a having a convex cross section as shown in FIG.
It is sandwiched between. Further, cutting portions 15a, 15a are formed by diagonally cutting the tapered surfaces 14a, 14a of the central protruding portion 13a so as to gradually become narrower inward in the circumferential direction of the retainer. The neck portion 17 is constituted by the engaging portion.

The joint portion 12b of the other member has a tapered surface 14b having an angle equal to the tapered surface 14a of the central protrusion 13a, as shown in FIG.
A pair of side protrusions 13b, 13b are provided which form a recess 16 with the central protrusion 13a in between. A wall surface 1 of the recess 16 is formed at the base of the tapered surfaces 14b, 14b.
An engaging portion 15b is provided by a slope 19 that extends diagonally outward toward 8.

Further, the tapered surfaces 14a, 1 of the central protrusion 13a
The width dimension at the predetermined position sandwiched by 4a is slightly wider than the width dimension at the corresponding position of the recess 16 sandwiched between the lateral protrusions 13b, 13b. Therefore, when inserting the central protrusion 13a into the recess 16, the side protrusions 13b, 13b are elastically deformed.

Further, the central protrusion 13a of the joint 12a is connected to the pair of lateral protrusions 13 of the joint 12b as described above.
When inserted between B and 13b by elastic deformation, the tapered surface 14a of the central protrusion 13a shown in FIG. 5 enters the engaging portion 15b shown in FIG. 20 engages with the slope 19 of the engaging portion 15b.

Note that the intended purpose can be achieved as long as the engaging portions of the two members do not play in the radial direction.

This idea is to form a central protrusion by providing a tapered surface radially outward at one joint of the opposing ends of each member divided into two as described above, and forming a central protrusion at the other joint. The central protruding part was inserted into the recess 16 formed by the pair of lateral protruding parts by elastic deformation, and the tapered surface 20 of the central protruding part was engaged with the slope 19 of the engaging part. There is no play in the radial direction, and there is no risk of poor rotation due to unbalance of the cage or looseness of the rolling elements during bearing rotation. Therefore, there is no problem in assembling the bearing, and the tapered surface makes it easy to install the bearing in a short time.
It is possible to join split cages. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 7, the joints e and f and g and h of the tapered surfaces 14a and 14b of the central protrusion and the side protrusions interfere with each other at the beginning of assembly; It can be easily assembled by elastically deforming it in the direction of slightly opening. Furthermore, once assembled, the tapered surface 20 of the neck portion 17 of the central protrusion 13a and the slope 19 of the engaging portion 15b engage with each other, so that they are firmly engaged and the joined portion does not return in the circumferential direction.

Further, since the engaging portion 15b of the lateral protruding portion 13b is cut obliquely to the axial direction to form the slope 19, the engaging portion does not have play in the radial direction. Moreover, such engaging portions 15a and 15b can be easily formed by injection molding by making the retainer made of synthetic resin such as nylon. In addition, the engaging portion 15a of the neck portion 17 and the lateral protrusion portion 13b
The spaces e and h formed between the tapered surface 14b and the slope 19
Since the spaces f and g are formed between the tapered surface 14a of the central protrusion 13a and the tapered surface 14a of the central protrusion 13a, there are many remarkable effects such as being able to prevent the influence of interference due to burrs etc. upon completion of joining.
