CONSTITUTION:Based on a data from an azimuth sensor 1 and an angular velocity sensor 2, an arithmetic unit 6 detects the present position of a vehicle. Subsequently, when the vehicle is running, whether the vehicle is in a going- straight state or a stop state is decided, based on the data from the sensor 2, by a running condition detecting circuit 9. In this case, in an offset correcting circuit 7, an offset voltage of the sensor 1 is canceled, based on a data from an A/D converter 4 and an offset calculating circuit 10, its value inputted to an integrator 8, and the present azimuth of the vehicle is calculated by a vehicle azimuth calculating circuit 11. In such a way, a reference value of an operation of the sensor 1 is measured, and corrected and calculated to a prescribed value, therefore, even if the reference point of the operation is fluctuated due to a temperature change, the present position can be detected exactly.
