Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce production of rotation vibration and to improve compression efficiency, by a method wherein an electric motor and a compression mechanism driven by the electric motor are disposed in a closed container, and a given rotation inertia body having a passage is situated to the rotor of the electric motor. CONSTITUTION:A stator 2 of an electric motor is secured to the inner wall of a closed container 1, and a drive shaft 5 of a compression mechanism 4 is engaged internally of a rotor 3 of the electric mo tor. A rotation inertia body 22 is disposed on the end surface on the compression mechanism 4 side of the rotor 3, and the interior of the closed container 1 is partitioned into spaces 21 and 24 on the electric motor side and on the compression mechanism side. In this case, the rotation inertia body 22 is rotated on the outer periphery of the bearing part of a bearing end plate 8 on the main shaft side and within the projection surface in the axial direction of the stator 2, and rotation inertia moment is set to a value being 1/3 or more of that of the rotor 3. Meanwhile, a centrifugal passage 23 is formed to the outer peripheral part of the rotation inertia body 22, and a centrifugal force in a direction extending from the electric motor side to the compression mechanism side is exerted on passing fluid.
