Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a construction method for reinforcing an existing RC-slab, by laying a cross beam between main girders under the RC-slab, laying in a juxtaposition reinforcing members on the beam, bonding top flanges, thereafter pouring a filling material into a space between the top flange and the RC-slab. CONSTITUTION: This construction method comprises the steps: to fix by welding a stiffener 3 to a web 2 of a steel girder 1 in an existing bridge and to fix with volts or the like a cross beam 4 to the stiffener 3; then to lay in a juxtaposition reinforcing members 7 on the cross beam 4 and to connect continuously the top flange 7a by applying a bonding agent on a part between the reinforcing members 7 or fixing by bonding a sponge or the like to the edge of the one- sided flange 7a; and then to apply a leak-stop putty material 10 on the end part of the connected reinforcing member 7, thereafter to pour a filling material such as mortar into a space between the top flange 7a and the RC-slab 6.
