Claims

A cylindrical can housing a filter sand layer, a stock solution supply pipe provided at the lower part of the cylindrical can so as to open into the filter sand layer, and a filtrate extraction pipe connected to the upper part of the cylindrical can, a support tube provided along the center of the cylindrical can body and having a downward conical lower distribution plate fixed to a position below the filter sand layer and an upper distribution plate fixed to a position higher than the filter sand layer; a filter sand lift tube inserted and fixed into the support tube so as to be located near the bottom of the filter sand layer;
an air supply pipe provided to open inside the lower end of the filter sand lift pipe; a filter sand separator provided at the top of the cylindrical can surrounding the upper end of the filter sand lift pipe;
A filter sand return pipe concentrically surrounding the filter sand lift pipe and connected to the bottom of the filter sand separator; and a washing liquid discharge pipe connected to the filter sand separator. 1. A moving bed type sand filter characterized in that an opening of a stock solution supply pipe is provided tangentially below a stock solution distribution ring having a chevron-shaped cross section and provided at a position higher than the lower distribution plate.
