Abstract

PURPOSE:To cancel the troublesome feeling of an operator, to rapidly execute a retrieving operation and to save a labor by disposing a primary document processing means in a CPU and sequentially displaying primary information between plural data. CONSTITUTION:At the time of setting a processing mode to a retrieving mode, secondary information is retrieved based on a retrieving condition applied by the operator and the chart of the retrieved secondary information is stored in a storage device 8. The operator selects and designates the desired document from the chart of the secondary information in the device 8 displayed on a CRT 3 and the primary information of the designated document is displayed on the CRT 3. Under this state, when the operator operates the pre-data key or the post-data key of a keyboard 2 to input a command signal, the primary document processing means of the CPU 1 reads the primary information of the document before or after the document based on the chart of the secondary information from the device 8 and displays it on the CRT 3. Accordingly, the primary information of the documents a is displayed on the CRT without designating the document a before or after the chart of the secondary information by the operator.
