Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent fusion or adhesion of stag by forming a flared slag suction port, providing an annular slit nozzle at a specified ejection angle in the pipe wall directly above the suction port and the linear pipe section of specified length sequentially with a curved delivery pipe having a specified radius of curvature. CONSTITUTION: An annular slit nozzle 14 is made between a flared pipe 11-1 and a linear pipe section 11-2 such that the driving fluid ejection angle 9 will be 45 deg. or less with respect to the suction pipe wall. The linear pipe section 11-2 above the slit nozzle 14 has a length L equal to or longer than two times of the inside diameter D of the suction pipe. Radius of curvature of the linear pipe section 11-2 is set equal to or longer than four times of the inside diameter D of the suction pipe. Since the driving fluid is ejected at an angle θ of 45 deg. or less with respect to the suction pipe wall, inner surface of the suction pipe 11 and a curved delivery pipe 12 is cooled through temperature drop caused by angular expansion of driving jet. Furthermore, slag flows smoothly through the suction pipe 11 and the curved delivery pipe 12 because of the flared suction port and the curved pipe having a large radius of curvature.
