Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a stabilized high-density electric charge, by bringing an electrically conductive liquid into contact with one face of a ceramic plate as the dielectric, setting up a cooler-carrying metallic discharge electrode on the other face and applying alternating high voltage between said electrically conductive liquid and electrode. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive liquid 2 is brought into circulating contact with one face of a ceramic plate 1 0.5-3mm thick with a dielectric constant of 7-20. On the other face of said ceramic plate 1, a cooler 4-carrying metallic discharge electrode 5 is set up to form a channel 3 where the electric discharge part comes into contact with oxygen gas. Said electrically conductive liquid 2 and metallic discharge electrode 5 are mutually connected via an electric source, and an alternating high voltage with a frequency of 2-30kHz is applied, thus enhancing ozone generation efficiency without possible breakdown of the ceramic plate 1.
