Abstract
PURPOSE:To correct curl by installing the first correcting device constituted of a nipping roller device and the inclination part of a guide plate and the second correcting device for executing corrugation in the direction of width of a paper, into a copy transporting passage for transporting the paper whose one side is copying-completed from a fixation device to an intermediate tray. CONSTITUTION:A nipping roller device which constitutes the first correcting device 30 is constituted of a hard metal roller 35 and a roller 36 made of soft urethane rubber, etc., and a paper on which curl is generated and whose one side is copying-completed is nipped between the both rollers 35 and 36, and the curl of the paper is corrected along the curved surface of the soft roller 36, and further, the curl is corrected by squeezing the paper by the inclined part of a guide plate. Further, the second correcting device 40 is installed as the discharge roller of an intermediate tray 50, and a curved part having plurality of groove- or stripe-shaped curved form is formed in the direction of width for the paper sheet, and the curl of the paper is corrected. Therefore, curl is corrected in the directions of length and width of the paper by the both correcting devices 30 and 40, and accommodated into the intermediate tray 50.
