Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate handling, control or the like of a photosensitive material and make a device smaller in size, by exposing the photosensitive material to light while paying out the photosensitive material from a first magazine and taking up the material onto a take-up roll in a second magazine, and transferring an image thus obtained onto an image-receiving material separately supplied, thereby recording the image. CONSTITUTION:A thermally developed type photosensitive material 100 is contained in the state of being wound around a payout roll 105 in a magazine 103, and the material 100 paid out through a paying-out part 120 in a sheet form is fed to and taken up around a take-up roll 102 in another magazine 104. An exposure part 200 is provided between feeding rollers 110 and feeding rollers 111, and exposure is conducted in the manner of line scanning by directing transmitted light to the photosensitive material 100. By the feeding, the material 100 and an image-receiving paper 301 are superposed on each other, and are passed over a developing plate 502 at a position A, at which heating to a predetermined temperature is conducted by a heater 503 to transfer an image from the photosensitive material 100 exposed and coated with water to the image-receiving paper 301, and then the material 100 is taken up onto the take-up roll 102. Thus, there is no need for a discarding tray or the like, and handling and control of the photosensitive material are facilitated.
