Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the distribution of ultraviolet ray irradiation equal both in the central part and the peripheral part by providing a lamp section consisting of a light source and a reflective mirror and also a cylindrical mirror whose entire inner surfaces has a reflective mirror. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a cylindrical mirror 5 is added to an ultraviolet beam projection device which cures ultraviolet curing ink applied on printing paper. This cylindrical mirror 5 has a large aperture on the upper and lower surfaces so as to allow transmission of ultraviolet beam and the inner surface is composed of a reflective mirror which reflects ultraviolet beam from a lamp 1. Subsequently, the portion projected to the cylindrical mirror 5 of the beam originating from the lamp 1 is reflected by the inner surface of the cylindrical mirror 5 and reaches the periphery of a light-receiving surface found at the bottom of a side opposite to each reflective surface. For this reason, the illumination distribution of the light-receiving surface indicates no difference between the center and the periphery and the illumination is uniforms. Thus ink can be uniformly cured, even when paper is intermittently fed.
