Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable effective production of deodorization ingredient, by carrying out tissue culture of a plant belonging to Oleaceae in a liquid culture medium added by cytokinins which is a plant hormone and/or copper ion. CONSTITUTION:A liquid culture medium added by a carbon source such as cane sugar, inorganic salts such as calcium chloride, growth factor such as amino acid, etc., is prepared. Cytokinins which is a plant hormone and/or copper ion is further added to the liquid culture medium and tissue culture of plant belonging to Oleaceae is carried out in the liquid medium. As a result, production of deodorization ingredient contained in a cell of Oleaceae plant is promoted and extract from the resultant tissue becomes nearly same class of product as extract from a natural plant at the point of deodorization effect. Further more, cytokinins are preferably added in the amount of about 10<-7>-10<-3>M and copper ion is preferably added in an amount of 5-100ppm expressed in terms of copper sulfate.
