Conventional sewing machines that sew the edges of long towel fabrics in which the sewing machine is fixed to a frame use a cross guider or a regulating rod with a regulating collar to control the meandering movement of the long towel fabric during sewing work. It was common for the system to be forcibly corrected. However, since the towel fabric is soft and flexible, sufficient meandering correction is not always possible, and as a result, it has not been possible to completely eliminate the occurrence of depressions at the sewn edges. This tendency is gradually becoming more noticeable as sewing speeds have improved in recent years.

The present invention was developed in view of the above circumstances, and its purpose is to more effectively minimize the meandering of towel fabric using a meandering correction device with a towel feeding function. At the same time, an intermittent tension machine that synchronizes with the operation of the material feed mechanism (feed dog of the sewing machine) of the sewing device and feeds at a speed higher than the feed speed is used to evenly spread the sewing edge from the top and bottom of the towel fabric. To provide an automatic edge sewing device for a long towel fabric with a relatively simple structure and high performance, which more effectively removes depressions in the edge after sewing by pulling in the running direction.

The meandering correction device 100 includes the following feed device 170.
It consists of a cross guider 110, which is commonly known in the sewing industry. The feed device 170 was rotatably supported on a frame 140 that was installed on the frame body 10 so as to be slidable in a direction perpendicular to the running direction of the towel fabric A. A press roller 133 has a main drive feed roller 121 and a driven feed roller 122, and is rotatably supported on support arms 131, 132 which are rotatable on the pedestal 140 and is brought into contact with the feed rollers 121, 122. , the active feed roller 121 is rotationally driven by a motor 144 attached to a pedestal 140 that pivotally supports the rollers 121, 122 and the support arms 131, 132;
Next, a power transmission means 142 consisting of a chain, a chain wheel, etc.
The driven feed roller 122 is synchronously rotated in the same direction through the feed rollers 121 and 12.
2 and the press roller 133, the towel fabric A is fed between the press roller 133 and the roller 12
The drive device 160 moves in the direction of correcting the meandering under the control of the sensor 150 that detects the meandering of the towel fabric A conveyed by the rotational drive of the towel fabric A 1, 122, 133.
The towel cloth A is moved and driven by the conveyor belt to feed the towel cloth A and correct its meandering. The frame 140 has the tops of the feed rollers 121 and 122 connected to the frame body 1.
Frame body 1 so that it is at the same level as the top surface of 0.
Guide rods 141, 141, which are horizontally suspended and fixed to the upper part of the front surface of 0, are slidably and tightly inserted into the upper part of the front surface, and the following rack rods 162 are fixed to the side part.
The motor 1 is also mounted on the front upper side of the frame body 10 via a driven plate 143 connected to the motor 1.
61, a pinion (inside the motor casing), and a drive device 160 comprising the rack rod 162. The drive device 160 is a sensor 150 of a phototube device consisting of four elements 151, 152, 153, 154 installed on the frame body 10 by a support plate 155 between the feed device 170 and the sewing machine 200. Under control. That is, the central two second and third elements 152, 153
The sensor 150 is positioned in such a way that conveying the towel fabric A to the sewing machine 200 is in the most appropriate state at a position in between, and when the fabric A blocks light from the outer third element 153, the fabric A is moved inward. Similarly, the inner second element 15
A driving device 160 that moves and drives the frame 140 so that when the fabric A releases the fabric A, the fabric A moves outward.
and the innermost first element 15
1 or the outermost fourth element 1
It has a function of making an emergency stop of the entire sewing machine when the fabric A blocks light from the sewing machine 54. This feed device 170 corrects the meandering of the fabric A in advance by adjusting the running resistance on both sides of the fabric A using the so-called cross guider 110 in the previous process, and further reduces the amount of meandering. In order to move the dough A accurately, it is sandwiched between feed rollers 121, 122 and a press roller 133.
