Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the tape sagging and to obtain a noiseless video at the time of switching by providing a rolling contact switching means in which the transfer of a winding force to a reel stand on a winding side and a reel stand on a supplying side is switched by the rotation of a mode motor. CONSTITUTION:A driving pin 21 moves in accordance with the movement of gear trains 17-20, which transfer the rotation of a mode motor 15, and a driving screw 20. An arm, which turns around an axis engaging a solid cam integrally formed with the pin 21, is provided so as to be able to engage a pin 12 of a rolling contact arm 11, and the position of the arm 11 is made controllable due to the rotation of the motor 15. Consequently, at the time of conversion from a forward reproduction to a reverse reproduction, and in the reverse case of that, the switching of the arm 11 is attained before the switching of the traveling direction of a tape 7 due to a capstan 1, and the generation of the tape sagging at the time of switching can be prevented. Thus, a noiseless video output can be obtained.
